Is this project works for other languages?

I am an english learner, so I am reading manga with eng translated so would this ocr think work on eng too?

I think the underlying model is trained on Japanese only so it won't work with English. However, English is written with letters that you can type on any keyboard unlike kanji, so it shouldn't be a problem.
