Chrome extension will it work for firefox / firefox derivatives ?

Want to know whether I can use the same extension on firefox or not. If not will firefox based browsers will be supported in future ?

Hi @Delta-Joe, thank you for bringing this up!

Yes, Firefox and its derivatives (like LibreWolf, Waterfox) are now fully supported! Due to some strict Content-Security-Policy (CSP) differences in Firefox's Manifest V3 implementation, we had to introduce a dedicated Firefox-compatible build.

As of version v0.2.80, when you install or upgrade the package via pip install --upgrade browse-code and run bc, it will now automatically generate two separate extension folders:

• ~/.browse_code/extension_chrome
• ~/.browse_code/extension_firefox

To use it on Firefox, simply go to about:debugging -> This Firefox -> Load Temporary Add-on, and select the manifest.json from the newly generated extension_firefox folder.
