It would be helpful to allow users to assign a custom name/label to custom frequencies so that the label appears in the frequency drop-down menu.
Example Use Cases
- Naming frequencies for local/regional nets
- Labeling event-specific operating frequencies
- Organizing alternate/non-standard frequencies for special purposes
- General convenience when using frequencies outside the default JS8Call presets
Suggested Behavior
When adding/editing a custom frequency, provide an optional text field for a display name/label.
Example dropdown display:
- 7.078 MHz – Default
- 7.095 MHz – Local Net
Notes
I understand this is not a high-priority feature given the Android port is still in beta but since similar functionality is being implemented in the desktop versions it may be worth considering for future parity.
Thanks for all the work on the Android port!
