title: Quickstart Guide
description: Get up and running in minutes: connect, claim, wrap, decrypt.
---
Before you begin, make sure you have:
- A browser wallet (MetaMask, Rainbow, etc.)
- Your wallet connected to Sepolia (testnet) or Ethereum mainnet
- Some ETH for gas (Sepolia ETH from a faucet, or mainnet ETH)
- Open the Qube app
- Click Connect Wallet in the top right
- Select your wallet and approve the connection
- Make sure you are on the correct network (Sepolia or mainnet)
If you are on Sepolia:
- Navigate to the Faucet page
- Click Mint Dev Bundle to claim all official cTokenMock test tokens at once
- Wait for the transactions to confirm on Sepolia
You now have a set of public ERC-20 tokens ready to wrap.
If you are on mainnet, you need to already have ERC-20 tokens (USDC, USDT, WETH, etc.) in your wallet.
- Navigate to the Wrap page
- Select a token from the dropdown (for example, USDC)
- Enter an amount to wrap (for example,
100) - Click Wrap
- Approve the ERC-20 spending in your wallet
- Confirm the shield transaction
- Wait for the transaction to confirm
Your public ERC-20 tokens are now encrypted as ERC-7984 confidential tokens.
- Navigate to the Assets page
- Click the Confidential tab
- Click Decrypt next to the token you just wrapped
- Sign the EIP-712 permit in your wallet
- Your decrypted balance appears
- Navigate to the Unwrap page
- Select the same token you wrapped
- Enter an amount to unwrap
- Click Unwrap
- Confirm the unshield transaction in your wallet
- Wait for the transaction to confirm
Your confidential tokens are now back to their public ERC-20 form.
Under the hood, Qube used Zama's FHE SDK to:
- Shield: Convert your ERC-20 tokens into encrypted ERC-7984 form via the wrapper contract
- Decrypt: Use EIP-712 user decryption to reveal your encrypted balance
- Unshield: Convert encrypted tokens back to public ERC-20 via a two-step unwrap and finalize flow
- Browse the Registry to see all official token pairs
- Supported Tokens for the full list of pairs on both networks
- Learn about Decryption to understand the EIP-712 flow
- Add New Token Pairs to extend the registry
