Flatpak package for Linux

Following @wetneb comment: Would be great to offer/build Linux installer on a Flatpak package. Afterward could be offered on Flathub, so the installation process end up being just flatpak install flathub org.openrefine (flatpak install openrefine will probably work too).

Offering a .deb seems to break Debian's rules. Nonetheless, hopefully sooner o later (probably later) will be available on Debian repos.

@mbugni mentioned here he created this repo and successfully build a flatpak, but didn’t find a way to stop the server.

Therefore, migrating this issue there.

I updated the Flatpak project, now there is a systray icon (with menu) to open/quit:

It is implemented using YAD.

Is there any volunteer to publish and maintain it?

Honestly, I think no. Even if Flatpak can be considered a container manager with desktop support, it's a different thing. This repo is intended for "classic" container manager, like Docker and Podman.

If someone would maintain it, the right place is Flathub.

Indeed, I didn't receive any feedback over time. So I think this will remain just a personal exercise about how to launch a webapp.
