Wish List?

I've been following this project for several years now and recently discovered that it was active again. I am wondering, is there a wish list for features to be added? Looking to spend some time helping a project over the holidays.

In my opinion implementation of USB & USB mass storage, but owner knows better.

As much as I have always wanted to implement a USB stack, I'd want to be much more familiar with the code before I attempt to tackle something that complex. Though it is tempting!

Hi Jim,

That's a great question. Some off the top of my head:

kernel:

• PS/2 mouse driver (will need an interrupt and code to clear/draw the mouse cursor)
• MSI(-X) interrupt support
• more network drivers (1/2.5/10/40 Gbit, vmxnet3)
• testing on more hardware
• USB keyboard/mouse (HID) driver since PS/2 is on its way out - a good stepping stone for mass storage
• general code review / optimizations

monitor:

• optimize glyph output
• support for PSF1/PSF2 font format
• add a function for searching memory
