This usually happens when the AWS CLI executable cannot re-execute itself. On RHEL 9, common causes include:
Can you provide the output of: which aws
ls -l $(which aws)
mount | grep noexec
getenforceAlso, how was AWS CLI installed (official installer, RPM, pip, or package manager)? |

One additional thing worth checking is whether the AWS CLI executable is being run from a filesystem mounted with Could you share the output of these commands? which aws
ls -l "$(which aws)"
findmnt -T "$(which aws)" -o TARGET,OPTIONS
getenforceIf SELinux is enforcing, you can also check for recent denials with: sudo ausearch -m AVC -ts recentPlease also confirm how AWS CLI was installed (official bundled installer, RPM, pip, or another package manager). I would avoid disabling SELinux or changing mount options until the exact cause is identified. |

Whenever I try to run an aws command on my RHEL 9 machine I get this error. The error number is inconsistent and i have tried reinstalling and checking for noexec within the mount, any ideas on what could be causing this?
