Python Client

Is there work/plans to build out a python client for ease of embedding/analysis within a python session? Happy to open a PR on this if there is interest! Would be nice to embedding generation/manipulation all in memory.

Hi Yasa,

We do have a notebook that shows how to generate the embeddings in memory/session: celltype-classification-across-species.ipynb. However, I agree we need a python client. This is something that I'd like to address but hasn't been a priority, but I can bump it up now :)

We welcome outside contributions but this one requires a fair amount of code refactoring since we want to unify the CLI with the python client and then update the notebooks etc. This will also require some coordination with our internal engineering team to make sure it doesn't break anything on the CZI platform. But lets keep this issue open, I think we'll have time to address it this month.

Hey James,

Just following up to see if there's been any progress on this front. If possible, just open sourcing the weights on HuggingFace would be fantastic, I'd be happy to just rewrite a minimal implementation of your architecture in Jax/Torch.
