Keep enters and spaces on paste

Hi,

When I paste a string into the description field all "tabs" (4 spaces) and new lines are removed.
Als a result all text is places after each other, that's kind of unreadable :(

Is it an option to keep the enters, multiple spaces, etc. on paste?

Ah, sorry... You're missing some info... I was typing about the edit function of a task:

This is the query that I past in my animated gif:

When you press the add task and past the same query (in this case) everything looks find and is stored as expected :)

I see, looks like the tabs are stored correctly, but since it's markdown rendered, the text are not showing with indentation.

This is actually the expected behaviour, you can either turn off markdown rendering in the settings, or put the query inside a code block, using "```".

Hmmm... But why isn't this happing when I click on "Add task" and past the data?

The result is a description with tabs and enters. That's not what you would expect / it isn't consistent between taks screens (add/edit)

Oh... and when I past between "```" the enters and tabs are getting lost also :(

can you confirm if you are have markdown setting enabled? you can find it in general -> markdown

Try Safari on demo, works like great to reproduce it :D

I'm using TaskTrove in "Safari App mode" (no idea how it is officially called).
Same issue in Safari.

In Chrome everything works as expected, but... I'm nog using Chrome ;)

It works for me on Safari as well. Can you share the version of your OS and browser?

It is getting weirder and weirder, it really doesn't work here...

I'm on macOS 26.2. Linked with that version is Safari version 26.2 (21623.1.14.11.9).
