Maybe use distrobox? https://github.com/elementary/os/tree/feat-toolboxes It could be built in distrobox, then merged in the main system with sysext-utils We could also put absolutely everything in elementary-sdk, this is what gnome-os does with gnome-devel (which is 2GB) Based on @danirabbit question in the discord |

We should probably put as much as we can foresee in the sdk to at least build all our own packages. I suppose third party devs will presumably always be using flatpak-builder so maybe that solves it? |

Seems like ext-sdk will be the solution for OS dev. With brew/podman also available for other type of dev |
