How to clear the cache?

I installed the latest hollo version through docker, and I noticed that the MinIO size is already 15 gb.

Is there a method included to clean up old cached images on a regular basis? Or do I need to create a job for that?

Thanks for reporting this! Currently, Hollo doesn't have a built-in cache cleanup mechanism, but we'd like to add one in a future release. For now, you may be able to use MinIO's lifecycle management to expire old objects automatically.

Would that not also clear images that the user themselves has posted? from what I can see in the MinIO object storage, the user uploaded images are stored in the same place as the cached media with the same type of IDs

You're right; both user-uploaded media and cached remote thumbnails are stored under the same media/ prefix in the same bucket, so there's no way to distinguish them using MinIO's lifecycle policy alone. A proper cleanup mechanism would need to cross-reference the database to know which objects are safe to delete. This is another reason why a built-in solution is the right approach here.
