Thanks @intrepid-developer , this has been suggested before. I think most of the work required for this is probably nothing to do with the .net SDK - it's containerising all the bits that make up Sentry itself. Being realistic, the SDK maintainers won't have the bandwidth to do this any time soon... We're a pretty tiny team (2 people) and there are a lot of other non-discretionary things we have to build. You could kick it off as a community project. |

Microsoft's Aspire is really starting to take off. It would be amazing if you could have a Aspire Integration that would allow for a self-hosted setup for local development and then optionally switch to a managed cloud instance in production. Being able to centralise the setup and then essentially have Aspire manage it and inject it into whichever projects need it would be great. It would also allow us to have the same local setup with ease and not clutter our production projects in sentry. Potentially helping us save some costs as well during development.
Something like this:
AppHost.cs
Can simplify the setup in the projects as well then using service discovery:
Api, etc.
I know there would be a fair bit to this to support the publishing pipelines so that the correct secrets, etc. are put in all the right places when it's published. I think this would be amazing to have though and really help with local development and get more people using Sentry 😄
