Option to prevent page from reloading after change

I sometimes make a rule after a page already works (such as to restrict it) and there's no need for the page to reload in many cases for me. Would it be possible to have a nondefault option for this behavior?

A while ago I was thinking to maybe offer this: "Reload only if at least one formerly blocked content is no longer blocked".

Would that work for you?

Just for clarification, I didn't add a new setting (I want to avoid using settings if I can), I made the smart reload smarter.

i've just lost a comment i was editing in a textbox because of auto reload.

is it possible to turn off auto-reload completely? i haven't found anything in the settings. i was already weary of the auto reload feature, but now i'm convinced that i'd prefer it off.
