Android intent setup #6662
|
I've been having trouble setting up the Last Update Trigger to trigger Home Assistant automations from Android intents. After restarting the companion app, as specified in the instructions, my test automation (YAML below) initially worked but doesn't any longer, and I don't understand why. If I use the event listener in development tools, the intent is successfully received, but the automation does not trigger. I see a note about setting up categories in the documentation. Is it necessary in this case? If so, how do I know what category to use? I don't quite understand the instructions at the link above. Once the Last Update Trigger is working, I have one more question: The YAML condition is currently disabled, but if I enable it, is it configured properly? I'd like to add a condition based on the event "Extra" in the intent (i.e. the "%par1" variable passed to my Tasker task below). Automation YAMLCompanion app "Last update trigger" screen
