My guess is it's https://github.com/leeter/WinMTR-refresh/blob/master/WinMTRDialog-display.cpp#L187 not taking the window DPI into effect. Not sure when I'll get a moment to get to this.

Root cause

The manifest declares basic DPI awareness (no stretching → sharp text), but not PerMonitorV2 — so the dialog is born at 96 DPI and never grows. The column widths are also hardcoded pixels, explaining Lo..., S..., R... in the headers.

The fix is 3 files

• app.manifest — The single most impactful change. Adding PerMonitorV2, PerMonitor to <dpiAwareness> makes Windows automatically scale the title bar, all standard MFC controls, fonts, and dialog layout at no extra coding cost.

• WinMTRDialog-display-hidpi-patch.cpp — Adds two things:

  • initListCtrl(): replaces hardcoded InsertColumn pixel widths with MulDiv(width96, GetDpiForWindow(), 96) so columns scale correctly (Hostname, Loss%, Sent etc. will be fully visible)
  • OnDpiChanged(): handles WM_DPICHANGED so the window reflows if you drag it between monitors with different DPI

The manifest change alone should get you from "tiny everything" to correct size. The column patch fixes the truncation.
