Question: In XML::Mapping::NumericNode, how do you handle BigDecimal xml<->ruby?

I want to ensure BigDecimals get encoded/decoded to/from xml & ruby. How does your NumericNode handle this, or does it?

Not currently, no. Since the string encoding of a BigDecimal ("0.xxxEyy", AFAIK) is also a valid Float string encoding, something like "0.42E2" in XML for a NumericNode would be decoded into a Float, not a BigDecimal. It shouldn't be hard to define a "BigDecimalNode" class and use that instead of NumericNode, if that's sufficient for your needs.
