We hope to add a component for user-to-user chat, instead of only having a component dedicated to chatting with AI

I think you can use the Chat components for that, @maximepvrt if I remember correctly you achieved the same thing?

Yeah, exactly! I managed to achieve this by using the UChatMessage components and manually setting them to the right or left side depending on the sender (after my last PRs : #6407 #6460)

I actually still think it would be a great idea to generalize this component for v5. Ideally, we could:

• Remove the strict types tied directly to the Vercel AI SDK.
• Create a utility helper to easily map/transform Vercel AI SDK objects into Nuxt UI message objects.

This way, the component stays completely agnostic and flexible for other backends/use cases as well!

there are some things that are usually in person to person chat messages, which are missing from the UChatMessage component: like showing the username above the message, or a timestamp, read/sent markers with the double checkmarks, an easy way to show when a message is a reply to another message. there are probably more, these are just some examples
