Would like some feedback from aarch64-admirers on rust-lang/rust#149622 which changes these architectures to PIE by default. I'm inclined to accept it, but it might make somebody's code size slightly larger or code slightly slower, I guess; for libcore even if they turn it off for their own stuff. Thoughts welcome.

I agree with your comment that aarch64-unknown-none-softfloat should be aligned with this change if accepted. I will try to join the meeting to discuss further.

Noted that we'll take the 23rd and 30th Dec off from meetings, so the meeting next week on the 16th will be the last of 2025, and we'll resume on the 6th Jan 2026.
