Missing placeholder-text in Material's TextField

I cannot get the placeholder text to show in TextField when using Material Design. This is what I tried:

import { TextField } from "@material";

export component MainWindow inherits Window {
    width: 640px;
    height: 240px;

    TextField {
        width: 80%;
        placeholder-text: "some text";
    }
}

This is what I get:

The rest of the program is from the material template for Rust at https://github.com/slint-ui/material-rust-template.
If I'm not mistaken, the placeholder text is also missing from the example at https://material.slint.dev/components/text_field/.

What can I do to display the placeholder text? I could not find an issue or discussion item regarding this.
