@dhihacker

Feature Request

Please add support for the Analog Devices PlutoSDR (ADALM-PLUTO) as a supported SDR device.

Why?

PlutoSDR is an affordable and widely used software-defined radio that supports both transmit and receive. It is commonly used by hobbyists, researchers, and radio enthusiasts, making it a valuable addition to Intercept.

Proposed Support

  • Detect PlutoSDR automatically via libiio or SoapySDR.
  • Allow selecting PlutoSDR as an input device.
  • Support configuring:
    • Frequency
    • Sample rate
    • RF bandwidth
    • Gain (manual and automatic)
  • Support IQ streaming from the device.
  • Display device information (serial number, firmware version, etc.) if available.

Benefits

  • Support for one of the most popular SDR platforms.
  • Lower-cost alternative to higher-end SDR hardware.
  • Greater flexibility for users working with amateur radio, satellite, ADS-B, ISM, and other RF applications.

Hardware

  • Device: Analog Devices ADALM-PLUTO (PlutoSDR)
