decay algo needs to also decay dirt

i know there's been various quirks about it, but not decaying dirt at all looks horrible. I'd rather have a messy pit than this.

I don't think this is a good idea, it creates weird boxes around builds which are inset into the ground, is there a better option for this?

ryan suggests changing the top layer of dirt to a mix of grass/gravel/dirt with some tallgrass on it. if it's not going to be a hole, at least it could look more "rubbly" and less "smooth clean dirt"
