TypeError w/ ShellScript

With Xcode 26 RC, I'm getting

during the mapping call.

This didn't happen with previous versions.

This error is happening because Xcode 26 RC changed how it stores shell scripts in project files: the shellScript field in PBXShellScriptBuildPhase is now an array of strings (one per line), instead of a single string. The decoding logic in libraries like XcodeProj and XcodeGraph expects a string, so it fails with a typeMismatch error when it encounters an array instead. This change starts with Xcode project format 16.3 (objectVersion = 90) — see this issue for details.

To resolve this, the decoding logic needs to be updated to handle both formats (string and array of strings). As a temporary workaround, you can manually edit your project.pbxproj file to convert the array back into a single string, but this isn’t ideal for long-term maintenance. The current code in XcodeProj only supports string decoding for shellScript and will need to be updated to support the new format (source).
