Hey everyone,
We've just added two new mixed-reality demos for Apple Vision Pro, both built on Untold Engine: CoolFutbol and CoolBowling.
⚽ CoolFutbol
A visionOS soccer demo — but just as importantly, it doubles as a reference walkthrough for building Untold Engine XR apps. The README walks through the full app shape end-to-end: how
UntoldEngineXRboots against CompositorServices, howGameScene.init()loads a.untoldscenefile and configures engine systems (lighting, animation, XR spatial input, rendering), and how the per-frame loop (handleInput()→update(deltaTime:)) translates spatial pinch/tap/gaze gestures into gameplay via entities, components, and custom systems. If you've been wondering "how do I actually structure an XR app on Untold Engine," this is the one to read.
xcodegen generate && open CoolFutbol.xcodeproj, build, run, and press Start Experience🎳 CoolBowling
Mixed-reality bowling, and the demo that needed a real rigid-body physics solver — it runs on the shared UntoldJoltPhysics plugin.
Look at your real floor where the foul line should be and pinch: a lane unrolls away from you on a low plinth, with bumpers, ten racked pins, a pit, and a ball return on your right. Pinch the ball off the rack, roll it with your tracked hand velocity, and the pit/return cycle handles the rest — two balls a frame, deadwood cleared between rolls, a fresh rack after a strike or second ball. Pin-down scoring comes straight from each pin's pose.
A nice touch: the alley is "game space," not "room space" — any real surface that cuts into the lane (a chair, a table) is excluded from the simulation so the ball just rolls through it, while everything else in the room stays solid and collidable via ARKit plane detection feeding into Jolt.
Everything — the pin mesh (lathed from a profile at runtime), textures, and audio (synthesized thuds, pin clacks, strike fanfare) — is generated deterministically, no hand-made assets.
Examples/CoolBowlingVisionOS/CoolBowlingVisionOS.xcodeproj, run on a Vision Pro (or simulator, with a fallback floor), press Step onto the Laneswift testcoverage for alley geometry, the frame rule, keep-out filtering, and full roll-to-pit physicsGive them a spin and let us know what you think — bugs, rough edges, or things you'd love to see next are all welcome in the comments. 🚀
