I get this using the appimage:

This most likely means you have something already using that port, e.g. another DSU server or an instance of evdevhook2. Do a

netstat -nlp | grep 26760

to check what it is. You can use a config file to change what port is listened on.

OK, I rebooted then ran the program via command line and got this error:

Failed to open Wireless Controller Motion Sensors (dev/input/devent264) - Permission Denied
The recommended way to fix this is by creating an appropriate udev rule and/or adding user to a correct group.
Running as root also works, but is not advised.

I don't know how to do that so I ran it as root. Cemu then sees the controller and I can set motion to on, but I can't assign keys and when I move the analogs or press the buttons the emulator does not respond.

evdevhook2 does not support button or stick inputs for a couple of reasons, one of them being that it's normally possible to bind these directly in the target program, which gives you better latency than relaying things through DSU.

I'll be converting this to a discussion since there's no bug here to be fixed.
