Uninstall Not Removing Files

Question

Newbie with Stupid question... Long time C# developer, first time using WiX (Personal Projects).

VS 2022 -- multiple projects. One being the main application; another is the WiX.

In my Installer.wixproj:

 <ItemGroup>
   <ProjectReference Include="..\MediaLoader\MediaLoader.csproj" />
 </ItemGroup>

In my Components.wxs

 <ComponentGroup Id="ApplicationFiles" Directory="INSTALLFOLDER">
      <Files Include="$(var.MediaLoader.TargetDir)\*"/>
  </ComponentGroup>

All the files are installed appropriately. I even have a few custom actions that run afterwards. Everything else I have working appropriately. However, on uninstall, it uninstalls "successfully" per Windows, however the files remain.

I have also tried harvesting,

  <ItemGroup>
    <HarvestDirectory Include="..\MediaLoader\publish">
      <ComponentGroupName>HarvestedFilesGroup</ComponentGroupName>
      <DirectoryRefId>INSTALLFOLDER</DirectoryRefId>
      <SuppressRootDirectory>true</SuppressRootDirectory>
    </HarvestDirectory>
  </ItemGroup>

But I couldn't get it to work. I am sure it is my code.

I've searched everywhere, and I am just stumped. Any and all help would be appreciated.

Nevermind... I found the answer here, except their Power shell Script didn't quite work. I had to do some searches in the registry.

I was caused by a failed install earlier!
