Unable to display the MSI UI even after adding bal:DisplayInternalUICondition

Hi @robmen ,
In WiX v3, I used the DisplayInternalUI="yes" attribute on MsiPackage to display the MSI UI. Since this attribute is no longer available from WiX v4, I switched to using bal:DisplayInternalUICondition. However, the MSI UI is not being displayed.

My MsiPackage element is:

            Cache="remove"
            Compressed="yes"
            bal:DisplayInternalUICondition="1"
            Name="MainPackage"
            ForcePerMachine="yes"
            Permanent="yes"
            Vital="yes"
            SourceFile="..\MainPackage.msi"
            DisplayName="MainPackage"
            Description="MainPackage">
    <MsiProperty Name="someproperty" Value="YES" />

</MsiPackage>

I have tried the following values for bal:DisplayInternalUICondition, but none of them display the MSI UI:

• bal:DisplayInternalUICondition="1"
• bal:DisplayInternalUICondition="1=1"
• bal:DisplayInternalUICondition="WixBundleAction >= 6" (as suggested in this GitHub discussion: https://github.com/orgs/wixtoolset/discussions/7350)
• bal:DisplayInternalUICondition="yes"

I'm using WiX v6.0.2 with a custom Bootstrapper Application (BA).

Could you please suggest how to display the MSI UI in WiX v6.0.2? Or Is there anything else that needs to be implemented in a custom BA to enable bal:DisplayInternalUICondition?

That bal: prefix indicates that the attribute is handled by the wixstdba. Since you're creating a custom BA, you'll need to handle the DisplayInternalUI callback in your code. However, I highly recommend NOT doing that and put the UI in the Bundle.
