Upgrade stuck and freeze VS studio

Question

Hello, I am a maintainer of mRemoteNG and I had an old WiX 3 installer in my project, so I decided to upgrade to the latest version. I use Visual Studio 18 (Insiders) and installed the appropriate extension. When I right‑click my project and choose Upgrade, Visual Studio freezes. After checking the file, I can see it was modified to use the SDK format, but the upgrade doesn’t seem to be completed because the project still shows as incompatible. Is this happening only to me? How can I find out what’s wrong and fix it?

Can you provide a link to your full project and .wxs code? This will probably require a repro to track down. Never heard of a hang like this before.

but I manage to fix with copilot (was tickiling for few hours) finaly so now its start working (but still failing to produce installation file whats working but that maybe already my problem. )

FYI that the only log item it was providing:
