Currently the machine-readable codes are published to a SharePoint site, which has long unreadable URLs, inconsistent naming conventions AND the parent folder is migrating to a new SP directory/site.

this will be the new URL (FTP site with HTTP access)
https://wis.wmo.int
Perhaps, there should be a sub-directory called "codes"?
How should the versions and releases be organized?
