I've got a prototype locally, but something I did made it crash in native code when running the tests which I'm still trying to figure out. (Visual Studio is not cooperating with the test running stuff...) I've got one more idea to try, if it that fixes things I'll open a draft PR here with the changes.
(I'll open a draft PR if it doesn't work either, but it probably shouldn't be used in that case.)
