Problem

The "More details" button does not indicate whether the collapsible section is expanded or collapsed, making the current state unclear.

Related issue: #1856

Solution

Updated the toggle button to:

  • Display "More details ▼" when collapsed.
  • Display "Less details ▲" when expanded.
  • Show an up/down indicator corresponding to the current state.
  • Initialize aria-expanded to false to match the initially collapsed
    content.

The visual state is driven by CSS selectors on aria-expanded, which is already maintained by Bootstrap’s collapse behavior. This keeps every button synchronized independently without adding custom JavaScript or browser state to the Python presentation layer.

Testing

  • Generated a local HTML profiling report using the modified package.
  • Verified the initial button state is More details ▼.
  • Verified expanding a details section changes its button to
    Less details ▲.
  • Verified collapsing it restores More details ▼.
  • Verified multiple detail sections update independently..
