This is a pull request for the following functionalities:
How to test?
If you don't have access to a computer with Windows 11 then a Windows 11 Virtual Machine can be created for free using Windows 11 ISO and Virtual Box.
How have functionalities been implemented?
The steps for installing a working Gibbon system were recorded in install-windows.md using Windows 11 Virtual Machine.
Any issues with implementation?
I've not included any Gibbon installation or XAMPP Control Panel screenshots because I didn't they were required but happy to add them if helpful.
It seems like XAMPP does not set a default password for the root MySQL user in contrast to MAMP and installing Gibbon on Mac. So, having to configure a password for the root MySQL user is required for the Gibbon installer to access MySQL on Windows. Having to do this step seems awkward which was previously mentioned before here.
I deleted install-xampp.md because XAMPP installation is now described in install-windows.md.
I think it would be worthwhile adding instructions somewhere for deploying a local Vitepress server so changes in documentation can be viewed as they would appear to a user. My markdown editor in Web Storm doesn't display custom info or warning containers using the
:::syntax for example.
