Currently we build and support RPMs for the following distros:
- RHEL 8, 9 and (starting from wandio 4.2.6) 10
As of June 2026, the wandio packages are hosted at https://packages.nz -- prior to this, we used Cloudsmith to host packages. While we will continue to publish new packages to Cloudsmith, we strongly recommend that existing wandio users switch over to the packages.nz repository by following the instructions below.
First, install the EPEL package repositories for your distribution (substitute 10 with your current RHEL major release version):
sudo yum install -y https://dl.fedoraproject.org/pub/epel/epel-release-latest-10.noarch.rpm
Now you can install the libwandio packages:
# First remove any references to the old cloudsmith repositories
sudo rm /etc/yum.repos.d/wand-*.repo
DISTRO_SUFFIX=$(rpm --eval '%{dist}' | tr -d '.')
cat << EOF > /tmp/packages-nz-libtrace.repo
[libtrace]
name=Libtrace Repository from packages.nz
baseurl=https://libtrace.packages.nz/redhat/${DISTRO_SUFFIX}/x86_64/
enabled=1
gpgcheck=1
repo_gpgcheck=1
gpgkey=https://packages.nz/repository-public-key.asc
EOF
sudo cp /tmp/packages-nz-libtrace.repo /etc/yum.repos.d/
sudo yum install libwandio1 libwandio1-devel libwandio1-tools
