P2: First-launch tutorial (tutorial plugin + auto-query) and a --query launch parameter #44
Two related pieces of launch and onboarding behavior.
First-launch tutorial view.
Ship a bundled tutorial plugin that renders a view (see docs/views.md) with getting-started information.
On first launch, show it automatically by running a preset query, so the tutorial view appears without the user typing anything. Reuse the existing first-launch detection used to seed bundled plugins (src/bundle_install.rs, src/daemon.rs).
Do not show it again on later launches.
--query launch parameter, which the tutorial builds on.
Add a --query <text> flag to the CLI (src/cli.rs, next to --open and --once).
Forward it to a running daemon over IPC by extending the Command enum (src/ipc.rs:16) additively. The wire format is documented as stable, so add a new variant or payload rather than changing open.
On open, pre-fill the query box with the text so results or a view appear right away.
Implement the tutorial as a launch with a preset query that the tutorial plugin answers.
Done when:
highbeam --query "…" opens the launcher with that query filled in, both on a cold start and forwarded to a running daemon.
A bundled tutorial plugin shows its view automatically on first launch only.
