Adds Zephyron 0.20.2.

Zephyron is an open-source (MIT) per-app traffic router for Windows 10/11. For every
site, service or app it decides where the traffic goes: through Zapret/winws2 desync,
through a sing-box tunnel, or straight out. It ships a routing book so each service —
or part of one — gets its own route, which lets a DPI-bypass engine and a VPN coexist.

  • Portable app, unpacked from Zephyron-0.20.2.zip (extract_dir Zephyron)
  • SHA256 verified against the value published in the release notes
  • Windows-only, needs administrator rights to start the tunnel and packet-capture driver
  • Homepage: https://github.com/NineUPFLOW/Zephyron
  • License: MIT

Review in Change Stack →

Walkthrough

The change adds a Scoop manifest for Zephyron version 0.20.2. It includes release metadata and a SHA-256 hash, an installation directory, a Start Menu shortcut, GitHub version-check and autoupdate settings, and installation notes.

Priority: Normal

Estimated code review effort: 2 (Simple) | ~8 minutes

Change: Feature

Suggested labels: package-request-needed

Merge Risk: Moderate · up to ee1f0

Updating the package through Scoop would drop users' subscriptions and routing rules until persistence is configured. The package-request process and star criterion also need to be addressed or explicitly accepted by maintainers before merge. The license and 64-bit metadata should be corrected as well.

Run the manifest checks before submission.

Run these commands from the repository root:

scoop config debug true
scoop config gh_token <your-github-token> # Optional; read access only
.\bin\checkver.ps1 -App zephyron -f
.\bin\formatjson.ps1 -App zephyron
scoop install .\bucket\zephyron.json -a 64bit

After adding 64-bit metadata, confirm that a 32-bit installation is rejected.

Create and link a package-request issue before merging.

This is a new manifest. The PR description links the upstream repository but no package-request issue. The PR also has the package-request-needed label. (github.com)

The upstream repository currently has 25 stars. This is below the required 100-star criterion. The v0.20.2 stable release exists. (github.com)

Create the issue, obtain maintainer approval, and link it from the PR. Use the package-request form. See the official contribution guide for the required process. (github.com)

As per path instructions, new manifests require a linked package request and the stated acceptance criteria.

Declare all licenses bundled in the archive.

"license": "MIT" describes only Zephyron. The v0.20.2 archive also contains GPL v3, LGPL v3, proprietary, and Apache 2.0 components, including sing-box extended, WinDivert, Wintun, and ZXing.Net. (github.com)

Scoop requires all applicable licenses when distributed files use different licenses. List non-open-source licenses first and use the exact SPDX identifiers. (github.com)

Restrict this manifest to 64-bit Windows.

The v0.20.2 release is built as win-x64, but this manifest has no architecture.64bit section. Scoop can attempt installation on 32-bit systems even though Zephyron.exe cannot run there. Move the architecture-specific URL, hash, and extraction settings into architecture.64bit. (github.com)

L249: Note
L250:
Zephyron.
L253:
L256:   3. Запустить `Zephyron.exe`.
L257:
Happ:
L263:
L264:   * «Из буфера» — ссылка подписки, ключи (один или пачкой) или картинка с QR-кодом, например снимок экрана Win+Shift+S;
L265:   * «Из файла» — файл `.conf` WireGuard или AmneziaWG либо картинка с QR-кодом;
Telegram
L301:

L351:
L352:     mode: selective
L353:
L354:     capture:
L355:       - config/lists/ipset-telegram.txt   #
L356:
L357:     rules:
L358:       - match: ipset
L359:         value: config/lists/ipset-ru.txt
L360: mode: direct #
L361:
L362:       - match: domain
L363:         value: "*.rutracker.org"
L364:         mode: proxy
L365:
L366:       - match: hostlist
L367:         value: config/lists/fandom.txt
L369:
L370:     default:
L371: mode: desync #
L372: `match`: `process` | `domain` | `ip` | `ipset` | `hostlist`. `mode`: `direct` | `proxy` | `desync` | `off`.
L373:
Маска `*.example.com` покрывает и сам `example.com`.
L400:
L401:     zy where rutracker.org
L402:
L403:     `rutracker.org
L404:
L405:       в правилах:       VPN  (#0 domain:*.rutracker.org -> proxy)
L421:
L422: ` TCP TLS HTTP
L424: steamcommunity.com

## Data directory

If you need to store data which should persist between updates you should use `~/scoop/persist/<app>/`. Inside the manifest, the path to the data directory is available in the `$persist_dir` variable.

The PHP package uses it for the configuration files.

## App manifest

Directories and files can be added to the `persist` definition inside the app manifest. Persist data is linked from the installed application directory to the data directory with directory conjunctions or hard links.

During the installation, any persistent data is copied into the data directory and linked to.

### Definition

The `persist` definition can be a string if only one item is needed or an array for multiple items.

Optionally an item can have a different name inside the data directory

    {
        "persist": [
            "keeps_its_name",
            ["original_name", "new_name_inside_the_data_dir"]
        ]
    }

### Examples

  * MySQL
  * MariaDB
  * NGINX
  * node.js
  * PHP

## Uninstall

Workaround 1: Script-based copy

# Data Persistence

TIP

  * One of Scoop's most powerful features is data persistence: retaining user data when uninstalling apps, and automatically restoring it upon reinstall.
  * abyss uses Persist + Link, with Link as the primary approach.

## Persist

  * Persist data by defining the `persist` property in the manifest.
  * But it can only persist data within the app installation directory.
  * In abyss, the use of `persist` is strictly limited.
    * When data persistence is needed, `link` is preferred.
    * See: Persist vs Link

> Refer to: Persist mechanism

## Link

  * Most modern apps store their data in Windows standard directories, not the installation directory.
    * `C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\xxx`
    * `C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\xxx`
    * `C:\Users\<username>\Documents\xxx`
    * `C:\Users\<username>\xxx`
    * ...
  * Since Persist cannot persist these directories, abyss uses the Link mechanism to create file system links at the original data location, associating them with Scoop's persistence directory.

Persist all four configuration files and initialize the two absent files first.

The four paths are user-owned configuration. addresses.yaml and catalog.yaml ship with the archive, but Zephyron preserves user changes to them. subscriptions.json and rules.user.yaml do not ship in the archive.

Scoop creates a directory when a persisted path is absent from both the archive and the persist store. This can prevent Zephyron from using subscriptions.json and rules.user.yaml. Create valid initial files in pre_install before applying persist.

Review comment at @bucket/zephyron.json at line 8:
Update the manifest near extract_dir to initialize config/subscriptions.json and
config/rules.user.yaml with valid defaults in pre_install only when absent, then
persist those files alongside config/addresses.yaml and config/catalog.yaml so
all four user-owned configurations are preserved.
