About Me

Welcome!

I'm Alexandre Bento Freire, a Portuguese Software Engineer and freelance AI & Cloud Developer.

I specialize in Generative AI, Cloud, and modern software development, combining decades of software engineering experience with current AI and cloud technologies.

I started programming and exploring computer systems in 1983, working with languages including Assembly from an early stage. I began working professionally in software development in 1987 and completed my university engineering degree in 1996.

Today, my work focuses primarily on Generative AI and Cloud solutions, while continuing to cover modern software development across web, backend, mobile, and automation.

I'm also the creator of DevToIX.com, where I share developer how-tos and some of my open-source projects.
