Chat → Channels had two ways to reach your own agent on WhatsApp. The assistant's number pairs a phone with a code. Your own number was a connection that you owned, where only your chat with yourself counted and no code was necessary. The two were one state with two names. The first one also dropped a code that you typed on the linked phone, so a pairing from that phone expired without a message.
Now there is one link. Add a number. Then connect a phone with the code. If the code comes from another phone, that phone is yours. If the code comes from the linked phone to itself, that chat is yours. The personal-number path is removed: its section, its route branch, and the operator-owned branch of
route_message. Messages that the linked phone sends to other people still reach no agent. A number that an app owns, with its admin, does not change.
