Based in Costa Rica 🇨🇷 with roots from Hong Kong 🇭🇰, I'm a PhD Student in Artificial Intelligence and High-Performance Computing at the University of Luxembourg 🇱🇺. My research focuses on multimodal AI, foundation models, and trustworthy machine learning, with a particular interest in building effective systems under limited data and resource constraints.
Outside of my research life, I'm simply a curious builder who enjoys exploring ideas, hiking, taking long walks 🌄, and enjoying the views that clear my head and spark new ideas 💡 along with tea or maybe coffee, and more unfinished side projects than I'd like to admit.
I enjoy creating things that can help people, whether that's open-source tools, community initiatives, benchmarking efforts, or experiments born from "what if we tried this?" conversations.
When I'm not doing research, you'll probably find me volunteering in IEEE communities ⚡, helping organize technology and science events, mentoring students, leading community-driven projects, hiking in the mountains 🏔️, traveling, or photographing nature. Many of my most valuable opportunities, collaborations, and friendships have grown from community spaces.
