https://firsttris.github.io/plugin.video.sendtokodi/faq.html#does-it-play-youtube-without-ads says:

SponsorBlock and similar are not integrated.

Why not though? IMHO, making it an optional feature would be great!

implementation

I am not quite sure whether you use the CLI or the Python lib, but the latter can use it directly, apparently: yt-dlp/yt-dlp#9186
And of course the CLI of yt-dlp also has a flag for it.
