Image paste (Ctrl+V/Meta+V) doesn't work in VS Code devcontainer terminal #5334

Created with the help of GitHub Copilot CLI (model: Claude Sonnet 5.5).

Version: 1.0.105, linux-arm64
Environment: VS Code integrated terminal inside a devcontainer (TERM_PROGRAM=vscode)

Problem: Pasting text works, but pasting an image from the host clipboard (Ctrl+V / Meta+V) does nothing.

Likely cause: the CLI runs in the container, which has no display server (DISPLAY and WAYLAND_DISPLAY empty) and no xclip/wl-paste, so it can't read the host clipboard. I haven't verified this against the CLI source.

Request: support image paste in devcontainers / the VS Code integrated terminal, e.g. by receiving the image from the VS Code client or the terminal. Devcontainers are a common way to run the CLI, so this affects a regular workflow.
