Hello ToothGroupNetwork authors,
Thank you for releasing ToothGroupNetwork and the pretrained checkpoints.
We are evaluating the project for AxisGuide, a locally deployed dental medical software application. Before performing any commercial integration, we would appreciate clarification of the licensing terms.
The repository currently does not appear to contain a LICENSE file. Could you please clarify:
- Under what license is the ToothGroupNetwork source code released?
- May the source code be used, modified, and incorporated into commercial software?
- Under what license are the pretrained checkpoints released?
- May the provided checkpoints be used for commercial inference or embedded in a commercial product?
- Were the checkpoint weights trained only on the 3DTeethSeg / Teeth3DS challenge dataset, and do you have the necessary rights to authorize commercial use of those weights?
- If commercial use of the provided checkpoints is not permitted, may we use or modify the source code and train new weights exclusively on our own legally obtained data?
- Are there attribution, publication, patent, redistribution, or model-distribution requirements that we should follow?
We are interested in local/offline deployment rather than a hosted API.
A public clarification in the repository, ideally through an explicit LICENSE file and a separate model-weight license, would also help other users avoid misunderstanding the permitted uses.
Thank you for your time and for making this work available.
Best regards,
Maria Zhu
