GitHub starts macOS 14 runner brownouts on October 5 and retires the image on November 2, 2026. Move the macOS CI matrix and the shared nightly/release build matrix to the supported, pinned
macos-15image.Both jobs remain Apple Silicon. The release target remains
aarch64-apple-darwin; build flags, deployment-target configuration, unsigned packaging, artifact names, permissions, and checks are unchanged. Nightly and tagged releases already call the shared build workflow.Reference: GitHub's macOS 14 retirement notice.
Validation for
251c9edeb2bd7ae5c1cdd46c0f8bc5dae0c251b5:actionlintpassed across all workflows, with optional shellcheck and pyflakes integrations disabled. Parsed-workflow comparison confirms only the two runner labels changed;git diff --checkpassed.macos-15-arm64andaarch64-apple-darwin. Workspace checks passed; platform-sensitive tests reported 565 passed, zero failed, and three ignored.Nightly/release publishing was not invoked. The native release-profile build and archive generation are not exercised by PR CI; their shared workflow was syntax-checked and its only change is the runner label.
