- SCP-085 is a sentient, animated young woman named Cassy, drawn in black and white, who exists entirely in two dimensions on paper or canvas. She can interact with any drawn objects on the same page, making them appear real and animated as long as she is touching them, and she can move between different sheets of paper or canvas. Originally unaware of her two-dimensional nature, she became depressed after accidentally discovering it, but Foundation personnel have found ways to help her cope by providing her with engaging drawn environments and projects.

- Kongō Gumi is a Japanese construction company, founded in 578 AD, making it the world's oldest documented company. For over 1,400 years, it specialized in the design, construction, restoration, and repair of traditional Japanese structures like shrines, temples, castles, and cultural heritage buildings. The company maintained its longevity through a unique family succession system, often passing leadership to sons-in-law when no direct male heir was available, and benefiting from the consistent demand for Buddhist temple construction. Despite a period of financial difficulty in the early 2000s, Kongō Gumi became a subsidiary of the Takamatsu Construction Group in 2006 and continues to operate, specializing in Buddhist temples.
