Description
Maps
resource_attributesandspan_statusas fast fields in the defaultotel-traces-v0_9index. You can now aggregate on them, for example error rate byspan_status.codeor span counts perresource_attributes.k8s.namespace.name. Theotel-logs-v0_9index already mapsresource_attributesas fast.Splits indexed before the update have no fast columns for these two fields.
This PR also brings the doc mapping in
docs/distributed-tracing/otel-service.mdin line with the code. That copy still describedotel-trace-v0_7and had nois_rootfield.How was this PR tested?
Ran
cargo test -p quickwit-opentelemetry --lib otlp::traces.test_index_config_is_validparses the new mapping, andtest_create_indexcreates the index with it.
